Body Image Of A Teens

Recently, the question of body image was a concern for parents, with whom I work. One parent reported that her daughter through adolescence, she recently much negative attention on their size relative to others, began to eat less at meals and began spending much time looking for models such the figures and comparing itself to them. This particular parent was concerned about the fact that eating disorders, to get right to some of the signs, it was observed. Have you ever heard of your teens say, "I'm too thin or too thick", "My skin is too light or too dark", "I'm too big or too short? If yes, your month of May, young people are struggling with their body image. As a parent, what do you do if you're worried about your teenager and body image, it is potentially a negative impact on its operation?

First, what is "Body Image"? Body image is psychological in nature and is influenced by the owner of self-respect (as many values itself) and is worth and is itself over the years. Body-image is changing and is a true his physical body and how they think other true. Body image is marked by example someone who receives messages from one another and the media and the experience of life. In short, body image is what provides both and feels when they think of their bodies.

Adolescence is a very difficult period in general, adolescents negotiate their place in much of the world and are often unsafe or feeling confused. In addition, as we all know, there are many body changes, which take place, following puberty and low self-esteem individual. The girls are three times more body to the negative image of the National Mental Health Information Center. This may be related to the fact that girls store more body fat among young people, the general appearance and feel of his body. There are a lot of pressure on young people, as it "should" as is the overwhelming emotion and can lead to a radical reaction, which do not include, food or medical concerns. It can be very confusing for young people to see, tons of marketing for fast food and snacks and check at the same time, models, actors, singers and other public figures, which is abnormally thin or image "Picture Perfect".
